Westnet Program Committee
Chairpersons: Mike Ekstrom (mike.ekstrom@utah.edu), Colin Randall (crandall@mines.edu)
To oversee the next Westnet conference program development, and to monitor and assess the program
To initiate and guide program evaluations
To facilitate discussions about logistics and program priorities for the conference
To take on the logistics coordination for the meetings, i.e. meeting room, hotel block, VTC requirements, A/V support, etc.
To coordinate the board's assignments on a particular event, such as a Westnet dinner
Westnet CIO Program Committee

To oversee the annual Westnet CIO conference program development, and to monitor and assess the program
To initiate and guide program evaluations

Westnet Diversity Scholarship Committee

To oversee the Diversity Scholarship program development and requirements
To initiate and guide candidate evaluations
To design and deliver awards on behalf of WERC
Westnet Charitable Donations Committee
Chairperson: Brian Jemes (jemes@uidaho.edu)
To oversee the Charitable Donations program development and requirements
To work with the board to establish a donation plan that incorporates a series of appropriate vehicles, such as special events, direct mail, etc.
To take the lead in certain types of outreach efforts, such as chairing a dinner committee or hosting donation parties, etc.
To be responsible for involvement of all board members in fundraising, such as having board members make telephone calls to ask for support
To monitor fundraising efforts to be sure that ethical practices are in place, that donors are acknowledged appropriately, and that donation efforts are cost-effective
Westnet Membership Advancement Committee
Chairperson: James Cizek (James.Cizek@colostate.edu)
To oversee the Membership Advancement program development and requirements
To increase Westnet membership and participation
To enhance understanding and purpose of Westnet to members and non-members
Technology Advancement Committee
Chairperson: Fabian Guerrero (guerrero@ucar.edu)
To promote the long heritage of sharing innovation and best practices amongst all the member institutions
To raise awareness by asking tough questions about how we do things and how we "architect" our environments
To publish white papers on topics of shared interest to the community
To encourage engagement with important new, and emerging, technologies across the R&E community
To share guidance for building sponsorship, highlighting use cases and funding new technologies struggling to gain traction
